Dr. Osowski (Dr. O) began her veterinary career with Evergreen Veterinary Hospital by shadowing and working during her breaks while she was a high school and college student. The founder of Evergreen, Dr. Kathleen Grant, was her mentor throughout this time. Dr. O earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a minor in Neuroscience from Miami University in 2013, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from The Ohio State University in 2017. Her clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and management of chronic diseases such as allergies and arthritis. Her professional goal is to ensure Evergreen is a model for the gold standard of veterinary medicine. In her free time, Dr. O enjoys practicing yoga, reading, and watching The Columbus Blue Jackets with her husband. She also really loves visiting Disney World! She has four furry family members – Odin, a Bernese Mountain Dog, Quill, a Goldendoodle, and two cats, Piper and Seraphina.
Dr. Burris graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both English/Journalism and Psychology in 1995. She later decided to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2007. Her clinical interests include preventive care, client education, and management of chronic conditions with a focus on patient comfort. In her free time, Dr. Burris enjoys traveling, hiking, and listening to audio books. She also has a passion for volunteering her time to make a positive impact on public health. Dr. Burris has completed two amazing trips with Mission Rabies, a nonprofit organization with the goal of reducing human rabies deaths by vaccinating dogs in affected areas. Dr. Burris has one cat, Moo!
Dr. Kirk graduated from The Ohio State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from The Ohio State University in 1994. Her professional interests lie in general medicine where she can make an impact on her patients’ lives from preventive care to treatment of unexpected illnesses. In her spare time, Dr. Kirk enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and children. They have two furbabies – Chester, Terrier/Hound mix and Archie, a Domestic Shorthair.
Dr. Woodall graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She is from the Dayton area and is a graduate of Chaminade-Julienne High School. Her professional interests include cardiology, genetics, and soft tissue surgery. When not tending to her patients, Dr. Woodall enjoys showing Doberman Pinchers in confirmation, playing sand volleyball, and spending time with her family, especially on the beach! She resides in Dayton with her husband and her son, as well as their three cats – Noodle, Pretzel, and Buddy – a Doberman show puppy Ariella ("Ella"), and a tortoise, Fergus.
Jerry is our handsome clinic cat. He loves all things food – particularly carbs and sweets – and he is not afraid to steal a bite! Jerry’s responsibilities in the clinic are often overlooked because he is demanding attention or taking a cat nap by the window. He is a great companion and cuddler though, so we don’t mind!
Anna earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Ball State University before earning an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Veterinary Technology degree from Sinclair Community College. Anna joined Evergreen in 2015 as a veterinary nurse, was promoted to Assistant Practice Manager in 2017, and became the Practice Manager in 2021. Her professional interests include performing technical skills like cystocentesis and venipuncture, assisting in surgery, and veterinary practice management. In her free time, you can find Anna and her puppy (who is not so much a puppy anymore!), Luke, at agility, dock-diving, and herding events. Anna enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. In addition to Luke, her Border Collie, Anna has two black and white cats, Eddie and Sophie.
Jennifer has been in veterinary practice for over 25 years in a variety of positions, from emergency medicine to feline specialty care. She earned a degree in Child Development before graduating from Michigan State University with a Veterinary Technology degree. Jennifer joined the Evergreen team in 2014 and became the assistant practice manager in 2024. Her professional interests include client education, behavior, and making an impact on her patients’ lives every day. In her free time, she enjoys pampering (grooming) & walking her animals, hiking & camping, fostering kittens and pocket pets if they are in need of a home! Jennifer has three cats – Biff, Mack, & Boo and three dogs – Sonic, Gem, & Ellie.
Brooke was born in Iowa and lived in Wyoming before residing in Dayton, Ohio. She earned a business degree from Wittenberg University in 2018, joined the Evergreen team in 2020, and earned her Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) degree in Veterinary Technology at Sinclair Community College in May of 2024. In 2023, she became the Team Lead for Evergreen, a position established for organizing and leading staff. Her professional interests lie in dentistry, radiology, and practice management. In her free time, Brooke enjoys baking, crafting, and traveling, but most importantly, she is devoted to her fiancé, Matthew, and their son. Brooke has two feline furbabies, Baby Girl and Flannery.
Lorie earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from The Ohio State University in 1995 and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Veterinary Technology degree from Columbus State Community College in 1998. Lorie began working at Evergreen in 2004. Her professional interests lie in internal medicine, surgery, and providing excellent nursing care to all her patients. She is also an instructor at Sinclair Community College, teaching the next generation of veterinary nurses! Lorie enjoys spending time with her family and pets, traveling to warm sunny beaches, kayaking, hiking, bicycling, and camping. She is also active with the Boy Scouts of America as her son earns his Eagle Scout rank. Lorie’s pets include a bearded dragon, Leonard Eugene Drake III (aka Lenny), one dog, Remy, and two cats, Katniss Aberdeen and Optimus Prime.
Cole graduated from Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center in 2021 and then earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Veterinary Technology degree from Sinclair Community College in 2023. Cole began his veterinary career with Evergreen shortly after graduation! His professional interests include laser therapy and assisting surgery. In his free time, Cole enjoys playing video games, board games, going to amusement parks with friends, and fishing with his dad. Cole has two handsome cats – Magnus and Artemis.
Kristin earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Veterinary Technology from Sinclair Community College in 2014. Her professional interests include surgery, fear free examinations, and ultrasound. She is a very well-rounded veterinary nurse, having previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music and an Association Montessori International degree! In her free time, Kristin enjoys gardening, birding, photography, walking her dog, Pepito, and spending time with her family. She has been married to her husband, Herb, for 35 years, and they have one son, Josh. Her fur family includes a Labrador Retriever named Peptio, a flame point Siamese cat named Tilt Keegan, and a grand cat from St. Kitt’s Island named Bartok.
Caitlin is from Dayton, Ohio, and joined the Evergreen team as a veterinary assistant in 2018. She became the Assistant Practice Manager in 2021 and is currently working toward her Veterinary Technology degree. Caitlin’s professional interests include assisting in surgery, radiology, and veterinary practice management. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Zeke, as well as her friends, family, and dogs. Caitlin absolutely adores her three doggos – Jasper, an Australian Shepherd Mix, Penny, a Beagle Mix, and Athena, an American Bully.
Julie is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and has been with Evergreen since 2019. Her passion is rescuing, transporting, and fostering all kinds of animals. When asked how many pets she has, Julie responds, “a farm!” She has ten dogs, three cats, one chinchilla, two rabbits, five guinea pigs, two pigeons, two parakeets, chickens, and ducks, AND she makes sure they all get breakfast before she does! When not tending to animals, Julie enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
Jamie is from Dayton, Ohio. She is a graduate of the Miami Valley Career Technology Center Youth Connections and has been with Evergreen since 2022. Her professional interests include assisting the veterinarians and veterinary nurses in any way possible to facilitate the best possible patient care. In her free time, Jamie enjoys gardening, crafting, watching movies, going to festivals or markets with her fiancé, Tyler, and of course, rescuing animals! Jamie has five cats – Talia (a rescue from Evergreen!), Long John Silver, Gwen, Salem, and Sparrow. She also has two family doggos, Roxy and Richard.
Lauryn is the daughter of a proud military family and has lived all over the world! She is a 2022 graduate of Lakenheath High School in the United Kingdom and is currently majoring in Criminal and Social Justice at the University of Arizona Online. Lauryn loves animals, especially her cat,
BMO, and is most interested in the anatomy and physiology of veterinary medicine. She enjoys spending her free time reading, drawing, painting, and writing. She is an accomplished writer, having published and created the cover art for a book of poetry entitled Growing Pains.
Dani is from New Carlile, Ohio, and has lived in Missouri and even Germany before returning to the Dayton area. She has much compassion for animals and is so sweet to our furry friends who visit! Her cats Chief and Louis agree! Dani enjoys yoga, crocheting, painting, the great outdoors, and volunteer work, such as coaching soccer. She is the proud mother of two daughters, Madison and Michele, who are serving in the United States Armed Forces. Dani is pursuing a degree in Chemistry, with a minor in Bioinformatics, at Wright State University.
Abby is majoring in Animal Science Pre-Vet at the University of Findlay. She aspires to become a veterinarian to be a voice and advocate for animals. She is working seasonally at Evergreen Veterinary Hospital when she is not studying hard at school. Abby is the daughter of a proud military family and lived throughout the United States before settling in the Dayton area. A graduate of Carroll High School, Abby enjoys running, reading, and drawing and painting animals – her specialty! She adores her dog, Catarina, a golden retriever/chocolate lab mix.
